Two star is generous... The hotel is run down, and it appears upkeep has been neglected for many years. For the price $130/night - its about double what it is worth in my opinion. Staff are pleasant and friendly, but there is not much attention to detail. Cleaning staff entered my room despite the do not disturb sign, I had 4 bottles of lotion but no shampoo, and check-in was confusing and strange... frustrating to say the least.My biggest concerns with recommending this hotel:-The AC is weak, despite how obnoxiously loud it is... constantly.- All the outlets in the room are worn out... they must be 50 years old... my phone charger just falls out when I plug it in - pretty sure thats a fire hazard.- Water pressure defies the laws of physics. It comes out of the tub faucet like a fire hose, but trickles from the shower head.The good parts:- There's a Tim Horton's across the street- Wifi is reasonably fast if the hotel isn't busy- The layout is neat, to a kid this place would probably be a lot of fun to explore- The staff are polite and friendly- No complaint about the bed, and I'm pretty picky.
Room was clean, but smelled musty. Even with AC full blast, room was probably 25 degrees. Be aware that you need to cancel a week in advance and they take all money up front with no refund policy. The manager likes to yell at kids and will threaten to call the police. Check other reviews. He likes to call the police. Despite spacious interior courtyard, dont try to use it. You'll get yelled at.
Hitel is well located. The interior is very surpris8ng! They have a lot of services on property, ehich is nice.
What an awesome hotel. You can not tell what it is like from outside but when you come inside it will blow you away. Great for conventions, meetings, all events. Looks like people even get married here. Has a pool inside but you don't smell any chlorine. Looks like there is over 100 rooms here. Very cozy. Oh... Food is awesome. Also has a few slot machines near the bar area. :).
Decent stay. Our group had to stay here because of our last minute trip to Montreal. It is pretty far from the core of Montreal but if you have a car, it's not that long of a trip. The beds were comfy, clean. The room could use some updates but other than that it was pretty decent.
